Race-Day Schedule

7:30 AM: Race-day kit pickup opens
8:00 AM: Boyd-to-McMichael shuttles begin
9:15 AM: Final 10K shuttle leaves Boyd
9:30 AM: 10K walkers start
9:45 AM: Opening remarks, Mayor’s greeting, sponsor shoutouts and fundraiser shoutouts
10:00 AM: All races start
11:15 AM: Awards presentation
Throughout the event: Pancake breakfast available
12:30 PM: Art In Motion event concludes

Awards & Recognition

The top three finishers in each of the 5K and 10K races will receive special award medals to celebrate their achievement.

Parking and Transportation

Free parking: Enter Boyd Conservation Area through 8700 Pine Valley Drive, north of Langstaff Road.
10K participants: Park at Boyd and take the complimentary shuttle to the starting line at McMichael. Shuttles begin at 8:00 AM, and the final shuttle leaves at 9:15 AM.
After the race: All distances finish at Boyd, so there is no return shuttle to McMichael.
Please note: There is no Sherbourne or Keele subway-station bus service in 2026.

Important: On race day, 10K kits are only available at McMichael. The 5K and 2K kits are only available at Boyd Conservation Area.

Race-Day Reminders

Please arrive early and allow enough time to reach your starting area before your scheduled start.

For 10K Participants

Indoor waiting space will be available at McMichael before the race.
Complimentary bag check will be available at the 10K start. Bags will be transported to the finish area at Boyd Conservation Area.
Bring a backpack or small, securely closed bag for bag check.

For All Participants

Wear your race bib visibly on the outermost layer of your clothing.
Your timing chip activates when you cross the timing mats.
Photographers must be able to see your bib number to match you with your race photos.
Water and sports drinks will be available at the start/finish area.
Additional hydration stations will be located at approximately 3.5K and 7K on the 10K course and 3K on the 5K course.
A pancake breakfast will be served throughout the event.
Bananas, Ozery Morning Rounds, coffee and other refreshments will also be available.
Washrooms are located near the Boyd start/finish area and parking lot.
Spectators are welcome at the start/finish area and at safe viewing locations along the course.
Professional race photos will be available to download for free after the event.
Please follow all instructions provided by race officials and volunteers.

Leaving the Event

Participants leaving early must follow the instructions of the parking-control marshals. Departing vehicles may travel along part of the active course, so drivers must watch carefully for runners and walkers who are still completing their race.

All vehicles must be removed from the designated Art In Motion parking area when the event concludes. Vehicles left after the event may be towed.

How It Works

Complete 2K, 5K, 10K or more—you are not required to complete a specific distance.
Participate whenever it works for you, preferably within one week before or after race day.
Record your activity using a running app, GPS watch, Strava or a photograph.
Email your proof of completion to info@artinmotion10k.com.

What You’ll Receive

Technical race shirt for 10K and 5K participants
Art In Motion hat for 2K participants
Race bib
Finisher medal

Race items will be mailed after your completion is verified. Groups of eight or more participating together should contact us in advance, and we will do our best to deliver the race items before your planned event.

Virtual participants are eligible for the same fundraising rewards listed above.
